HOW IT WORKS
FAQ
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) means you connect your own laptop, tablet, or phone directly to the meeting room’s audio, video, and display equipment—often via USB‑C, HDMI and USB-A cables.
Connect your device to the room equipment using the available port (USB‑C or HDMI). If the room supports USB bridging, connecting USB‑C gives you access to the room’s speakers, microphones, and cameras. Then join your meeting from your device as usual (Teams, Zoom, Meet, etc.).
Yes, to present with audio: Connect HDMI or USB‑C to present from laptop. Connect second USB cable and go to audio settings on your laptop to choose the Room equipment as speaker. ![]()
Try the following:
- Reconnect the cable firmly
- Try a different port or cable
- Check if your laptop requires a specific adapter
- Restart your video service app
- Ensure your device allows external display output (some settings block it)
- Make sure you select the right camera, speaker and microphone in device settings or video service settings
Audio or video issues may be caused by selecting incorrect devices. Check your meeting app’s audio/video settings to ensure the room system is chosen as the speaker, microphone, and camera.
